Sorry if they load a

bit slowly...enjoy!

Jerry’s use of remote technology has a significant effect on his ability to meet deadlines. Here he contemplates his next project. Note the deepness of thought and keenness of focus; all else is on (horizontal) hold.

Jerry, John (harmonica) and David (hand percussion) discuss the Clean Air Act and marine resource depletion at a local seafood bistro.

Brainstorm circa 1977,below. Front, Will Wooten (who played keyboards on this project) , and Deon Estes; Rear, Larry Sims, Belita Woods, Jeryl Bright, Chuck Overton (sax on 7th track), Renell Gonsalves, Trenita Womack (also on this project), and myself. My favorite Brainstorm song? “If You Ever Need to Cry”. Hey! Flash! Rumor has it someone sampled “Wake Up” and is actually proposing to pay me for it! Will update—(note outfits)..

Jerry, circa  1970 with vicious beagle mix, left; Right, with “The Kaper”, 1969, at a high school dance ; (note the vintage Rick; I traded it in 1971 for $150; Saw one recently for a few grand). “Black Sabbath” we were not.

Left:Yes, it’s true. No, I never met Michael and family, sadly (or not);

Note ticket prices…

Right:Jerry, 1966, just learning bar chords.

Jerry and Cristina, you know where, 2005. We were turned down for an upcoming vice-presidential hunting trip.

No website is complete without a sappy photo of a  2-year old from 1953. Ha.

Jerry is especially proud that he has never had to supplement his high music income with actual work.* (If you have identified the basin wrench as not a roofing tool, well, you’re just not too open-minded) (open-ended?) (T-shirt courtesy of “Sister” Rita Dailey).

*This is an official response to certain artists who have prospered, according to them, without aid of non-music employment.  Good for you. Now! Lighten up, y’all. We do what we have to, and should be grateful for whatever we have been blessed with.

This is a shameless plug for my brother Mark’s CD, “The Boy from Skibbereen”, a collection of Irish-American music. This is not a Way Overdue Production, but I think he still owes me $50.00. Contact

www.cdbaby.com/cd/markrkent

for details. Please. Soon.

Lakeview High School (St Clair Shores, MI) class of ‘69. Just before I became a college drop-in. Major? Psychology. How marketable can you get. (This led to my obtaining a builder’s license)

Pedro, who did CD rear cover, at one of his exhibits. (He may be contacted thru me, see contact page.)

Pablo, left, who did front cover, with grand-nephew (great-nephew? I never get that right). Contact him:

www.natureartists.com/dominguezp.htm.

His wildlife art is  remarkable.

Left,

Ardie Bolden, pro arranger, who put trumpet on the CD; (contact through me)

Left, Trenita

“One-take”

Womack, who added her usual phenomenal congas, as well as much encouragement and many laughs. She has missed about 6 beats in 35 years. I may have actually witnessed a clunker, but I can’t remember when…

(for now, contact her through me)

William Kent Sr. and Martha Kent; circa 1985. Dad played “swing” sax and piano; Mom played Chopin and show tunes. A lot of good music came from here...

Dad had a Detroit band in the late 30’s, early 40’s, the “Stardusters”; he later toured with the Air Force Band; he served through 3 wars. Flew planes, too. At ease, soldier.

Mom raised 9 of us; good grief!

I had the best of upbringings, not in the sense of privilege, but in the sense of support and love. Others got cars at graduation; I got a watch and very good advice. Many thanks to the both of you always– me!

My nephew Thomas, now 18, who built my Windows set. Many thanks, dude. Lots of luck in college, and on.

Detroit King of the  circular sax breathing and “not so” old friend Chuck Overton, who added alto to the “Phem Lee” track. I have seen people standing on chairs to hear this guy. (contact through me)

Left– Shameless plug #2; Deblon Jackson, who added flute to “Ah Dims Phem Lee”, can be reached if you desire her CD “White Blaze”, at

iam8657@aol.com

She has played with just about  everybody…(This CD also not a Way Overdue Production… buy it anyway!)

The voice of reason on “Breaking and Entering”, Montellis Whitt plays bass, clarinet, keyboards, sings, acts, and can “tech” your computer. I wish he would learn a skill some time. (Yes, he could be Eddie Griffin's bro..)

Greg Boyce, and 335; he played on the “Phem Lee” track. A sweeter tone, hard to find...

Hey! Here’s a link to a photo of my first pro job in 1967!!! Thanks to old friend and bassist George Kerby …
